CREDIBILITY.

In the recent, I have been taking to consideration things that realy matters in this life and lesson learnt in the many years I have lived so far. One of them is credibility and I hope the following thoughts will be of benefit to you.

Credibility is the feeling of trust and respect inspired in others, it is the quality of being believeable and accepted as true, real and honest. It is not created by a single(one) thing: combination of things must be in place to establish it, hard to earn but very easy to loose.

Building credibility is a daily procees and can be practiced in different ways:
       I.
  1.  First impression:
It offers a fundermental opportunity to create credibility. Be authentic, tell the truth, keep confidence, do the right thing each time and be dependable. Also never violate your core values in the name of neccesity, gain or convenience.

  2.                Willingness to admit your shortcomings:
It goes along way in demonstrating credibility. Not easy to do though, but after a while you will realize it was worth. When we admit: we simply avoid disapointing people around us and frustration.

       3. Communication style:
You should learn to speak in a straight forward, clear and concise manner. Say what you know and be clear about what you don’t. in addition listen to others carefuly and and take their contribution into consideration, especially when in a position of decisition making that will affect others.

      4. Appologies:
Let others know as early as possible when you cannot fulfill a promise  or meet an obligation, and when unforeseen circumstances causes your plans to fall through.

      5. Blame:
Avoid laying blame to avoid consequence of a poor choice. Taking personal responsibility for your part and working towards solving the problem can also build credibility.

    • It is build over time and is build on the history of your words and actions.

UNCHARTED

Because you have never been this way before! The Israelites had come a long way, and for so many years they had been stuck in the desert with the hope that one day they would get to the land that is flowing with milk and honey as promised by God. In chapter 3 of the book of Joshua, the Bible records that they set out from Shittim and went to Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. At this point, God gives Joshua very specific commands; He is to tell the Israelites that when they see the ark of the covenant of the Lord God ( the ark of the covenant was a symbol and was associated with God’s presence), and the Levitical priests carrying it. They are to move out from there position and follow it. They were to keep a distance of around 800 meters between, they are told to do this for this one reason; the route they were taking was new and they had never been this way before. In essence, God is asking them to allow Him to take the lead into a place that is unknown to them. ...

Mansion

So this part of my house, no one's been in it -I built the safe room and I don't let no one in there! Cause if I do, there's a chance that they might disappear and not come back....And I admit I am emotionally scared to let anyone inside so I just leave my doors locked. You might get other doors to open up but this door?? no way cause I don't want you to have the opportunity to hurt me,and I'll be the only person that I can blame when you desert me. I'm barricaded inside so stop watching,I'm not coming to the door so stop knocking, stop knocking!              I'm trapped here,God keep saying I'm not locked in and so I chose this, lost in my own conscience and I know that shutting the world out ain't solving the problem! But you see I didn't build this house because I thought it would solve 'em, I built it because I thought that it would be safer in there.... But it's not, I'm not the only thing that's living in he...

THE PRINCIPLE OF TRANSITION

Being better today than yesterday! Beautiful country music playing in the background, it has been 21 days off my daily duty as an administrator, I was perplexed how time is literally a rushing wind, a 3 weeks’ vacation felt like it was three days and at this moment my mind goes back to a quote I read in high school; “Be better today than yesterday” . I start evaluating myself, I was trying to see in what ways I’m I better now than I was before I began my vacation! It became so clear to me that what did every day of those 21 days had tremendously changed my perspective in so many dimensions. Every second of existence counts and I want to share few thoughts among the many things that adds value to our daily life. There is great potential in the small things.                                                          ...
