Because you have never been this way before! The Israelites had come a long way, and for so many years they had been stuck in the desert with the hope that one day they would get to the land that is flowing with milk and honey as promised by God. In chapter 3 of the book of Joshua, the Bible records that they set out from Shittim and went to Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. At this point, God gives Joshua very specific commands; He is to tell the Israelites that when they see the ark of the covenant of the Lord God ( the ark of the covenant was a symbol and was associated with God’s presence), and the Levitical priests carrying it. They are to move out from there position and follow it. They were to keep a distance of around 800 meters between, they are told to do this for this one reason; the route they were taking was new and they had never been this way before. In essence, God is asking them to allow Him to take the lead into a place that is unknown to them. ...

Being better today than yesterday! Beautiful country music playing in the background, it has been 21 days off my daily duty as an administrator, I was perplexed how time is literally a rushing wind, a 3 weeks’ vacation felt like it was three days and at this moment my mind goes back to a quote I read in high school; “Be better today than yesterday” . I start evaluating myself, I was trying to see in what ways I’m I better now than I was before I began my vacation! It became so clear to me that what did every day of those 21 days had tremendously changed my perspective in so many dimensions. Every second of existence counts and I want to share few thoughts among the many things that adds value to our daily life.
